Boots look great, but the buckle on the strap around the calf constantly comes undone and the strap hangs. Ihave to stop about every 10 minutes or so to buckly the strap again. Not worth the money just for this reason.

Thank you for the beautiful boots. I also want to thank Barouke (sp?) who commented that CH boots ran about 1/2 size smaller so I ordered a 9 1/2 instead of 9. I'm 5'8", overweight but they fit great. The leather is top quality.... seams are perfect, The toe area is a little tight so ladies if you have a very wide foot it will be tight around the toes. My calf is almost 16 " and I wont be wearing pants in the boot.....unless it stretches, but thats fine for me....

These are beautiful boots; the online picture doesn't do them justice. The leather is soft and smooth, but not so much that the shaft will collapse around my ankle. Cole Haans seem to run short on my foot, so I bought the 8.5 instead of a size 8. Due to an extremely high arch and instep, getting into a pair of boots is always a concern, but I have no trouble with these and find them amazingly comfortable. They will be a wonderful part of my wardrobe if and when it ever gets cold in Texas.

I'll keep these boots, although there's one thing that is a bit disappointing: the leather in the front upper park of the shoe part of the boot wrinkles/pebbles when worn. The shank remains smooth and unwrinkled. Not sure why. Also, for those with shorter than average legs, know that this is a very high boot. It may come up above your knee crease, which means it will fold a bit around the ankles. I don't mind this, but others may. On the plus side, it comes in a C width and is very comfortable.
