i've been looking of for the perfect pair of black boots (i.e. no tacky logos, no extra unneeded accessories, buckles, and such) for a long while now and in this pair i found my perfect of black boots. it has the zipper detail, but it is very subtle and stylish rather than tacky. i almost always have trouble zipping up cole haan boots near my calf area, but with this boot i did not have this problem because there is an elastic part that helps you to stretch in the calf region. i also found that these boots didn't crinkle up in the ankle area as most boots do ... all in all i am a happy customer!

It looks beautiful and very well made. The shaft is fitting for me, and I'm a size 2. I'd have given it a 5-star rating if it weren't so tight on my feet. I wear size 8 in shoes. This pair is a little on the tight side. I have another pair of Cole Haan boot in size 8 but don't have the same issue.
