Cole Haan Pendleton Collaboration

Cole Haan x Pendleton

Two iconic American brands. One historic national park.
Experience the new collaboration that’s rooted in heritage and united by craft.
The Collection
As longtime admirers of Pendleton and their commitment to our national parks, this partnership began in the wilds of Maine. It’s where Cole Haan has deep roots and is home to the crown jewel of the North Atlantic Coast, Acadia National Park. The resulting seven-piece collection is inspired by the beauty and spirit of Acadia’s landscapes, Pendleton’s distinctive fabrics, and Cole Haan’s innovative designs.
The Plaid
It all started with Pendleton’s Acadia National Park Blanket. For the look of its characteristic stripe, earth tones give way to hints of granite, sunset, gold, and sky. The design team manipulated that stripe into an original plaid that feels both rugged and dignified.
The History
Founded in 1928, Cole Haan has been at home in Maine and its surrounds for nearly a century. Combining heritage and inspired craftsmanship with boundary-pushing innovation, the brand continues to empower people to work for what they believe in.
Pendleton Woolen Mills has been a constant in American life since 1863. With six generations of family ownership, their legacy of creating quality lifestyle products in the Pacific Northwest is as renowned as their knowledge of fiber, fabric, and textiles.
The Symbolism
The Symbolism
Over 100 years of American craftsmanship brings together this distinct collaborative collection. Expertly weaving together Cole Haan’s signature leather with Pendleton’s trademark wool embodies what both brands do best: iconic American design.
The Purpose
In this time of environmental preservation, both Cole Haan and Pendleton have committed to taking steps towards eco-consciousness. Cole Haan is a member of The Leather Working Group, and the leather in this capsule is from BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd (BLC) medal-rated tanneries. Both ØriginalGrand styles feature patented FlowerFoam™ soles made from a minimum of 25% dandelion rubber.
The high-quality wool plaid used in this collaboration is a biodegradable, renewable resource that will endure and was woven in Pendleton’s Washougal, Washington mill.
The Washougal mill dates back to 1912 with continuous operation and updates, including OEKO-TEX STeP certification (21001295 HOHENSTEIN HTTI).
*Leather Working Group, is a not-for-profit community organization representing over 1,800 businesses in over 60 countries, and is dedicated to driving
