Returns & Free Exchanges

Every Cole Haan product is backed by our long standing tradition of quality and craftsmanship. Cole Haan will accept any unworn or unaltered merchandise within 30 days of the original purchase date. Cole Haan reserves the right to deny refunds for a returned item that does not comply with this policy.

For products purchased on, original shipping charges and any shipping taxes are non-refundable. Please allow 2-3 business days to process your return once received at our warehouse. You will receive a refund based on the original form of payment. Please allow up to one billing cycle for the credit to post to your account. To return or exchange an item, please pack it in its original condition.
Merchandise purchased at may be returned to any Cole Haan retail store for your convenience, free of charge. Click on Process a Return/Exchange below to get started

We get it—it has to be perfect. If you need a different color, size or style, we offer free returns and exchanges by mail or in store. Select returns may also be returned to a local UPS Store.

Exchanges for online orders are processed in two steps. Just let us know what you’d like when you return your original item(s). You will receive a confirmation email when we process your return and a shipping confirmation email for the exchange items when they’re on their way. Unfortunately, item availability is not guaranteed – if the item you want is not in stock, we’ll contact you to let you know. Exchanges are not offered on PayPal, Affirm, Instagram/Facebook orders, or orders shipped outside of the United States.

Cole Haan stores can only process returns from purchases made at our retail and outlet stores, or as stated within our policy. All other requests should be directed to the original place of purchase. All full-price in-store purchases must be returned to Cole Haan full-price retail stores only. All outlet purchases must be returned to Cole Haan outlet stores only. All Cole Haan items purchased outside the United States must be returned in the country where the original purchase took place. Original form of payment must be present to receive a refund on that form of payment.

  • PayPal, Affirm, Final Sale, and orders shipped outside the United States cannot be returned to any Cole Haan Retail Store. Returned merchandise to our warehouse will be processed as a refund to your PayPal, Affirm account.
  • •For Instagram or Facebook Marketplace orders please log into the app you purchased through, and request a return within the app. This will allow us to evaluate your request for return authorization and respond accordingly to you.
  • •Online orders shipped to US addresses may only be returned to Cole Haan retail stores in the United States.
  • •Any items purchase as Final Sale may not be returned or exchanged.
  • •Exchanges are not offered on PayPal, Affirm orders, or orders shipped outside of the United States.

  • 60 Day Risk-Free Commitment: We’re offering a refund to Cole Haan Members who believe our ZERØGRAND Overtake, Outpace and Tennis styles, our 4.ZERØGRAND and our Golf footwear styles did not meet their expectations after 60 days. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us and we’ll refund qualifying purchases. We’ll also ask you to answer a few questions about why you weren't satisfied, so we can design and develop products that work for you, perfectly.

    Qualifying purchases must be made by logged-in Members, and contact be made within 60 days of your purchase date on qualifying styles. Refund will be granted in the original form of payment, and for the total amount paid at time of purchase. One-time refund per customer.
If you wish to return a product that you received as a gift from or from a Cole Haan retail store, the refund will go to the original form of payment, i.e., the credit card used to purchase it. If you wish to exchange a gift purchased online at, please contact Customer Service at 800-695-8945 for assistance. When returning a gift, please provide the order number or purchaser name, address, and telephone number to assist in processing the return. If you return a gift that was purchased through the use of a gift card, your gift card will be restored to its original value or a new one will be provided for you, to be used at any time on If you return a gift to a Cole Haan retail store, please bring your packing slip so you can be reimbursed for the appropriate amount.
